Exodus 6:9 So Moses told the people of Israel what the Lord had said, but they refused to listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the brutality of their slavery.

As Moses comes to deliver the word straight from the mouth of God the people could not receive it. They were so beat down by oppression that they refused to listen to a prophetic message of hope.

When we look at the streets of the cities in this nation we have two types of people; those who can’t wait to hear a message of hope and those who refuse to hear. When people have been so beat down by bondage and circumstance they are tired of hearing people say it’s gonna be alright even though alright never comes. It was Moses’ persistence in fighting for freedom that rallied the people to listen again. Let’s fight for freedom and stop talking so much. The word became flesh.
Lord give us the mind and mission to liberate. Give our words the actions to incarnate. Keep us near You so we may hear Your direction and not our own. Bring hope back to Your people
