Psalms 71:14 (NLT)14 But I will keep on hoping for your help; I will praise you more and more.

David agonizes all through out this Psalm. His enemies are terrorizing him and all he has to hold on to is his knowledge of God’s saving grace. He prays continuously asking for God to remember him and protect him. His prayers are met with silence from God. Have you ever been asking for God to deliver you but all you receive is silence? 

We have all asked God for help but feel alone when the help doesn’t come when we want it. 
But David sets an example for all of us. He refuses to let the circumstances or God’s silence make him hopeless. His knowledge and faith in God’s saving power comes from experience. We know God can and God will because God did!
Lord in the midst of the trial help me to remember You as I am asking You to remember me.
