Romans 5:2 (NLT) 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

‘Privilege’ is a word African Americans almost deem derogatory. We typically have been accosted by privilege. Slavery, Jim Crow and now the need to shout Black Lives Matter are all a result of white privilege. But here the Apostle Paul so eloquently brings the word ‘privilege’ back to a place where all of God’s children regardless of color, class, or gender can appreciate it. Because of Jesus we all are benefitting from an undeserved privilege where he no longer calls us servants but friends.

Lord let not one day go by where I do not acknowledge and appreciate my privileged position in Christ. What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
