Psalms 74:1-3 (NLT)
A psalm of Asaph.

1 O God, why have you rejected us so long? Why is your anger so intense against the sheep of your own pasture? 2 Remember that we are the people you chose long ago, the tribe you redeemed as your own special possession! And remember Jerusalem, your home here on earth. 3 Walk through the awful ruins of the city; see how the enemy has destroyed your sanctuary.

In the midst of tragic situations it is alright to question God. God is wrestling with us and making us stronger and part of that process is for us to be completely open and honest with God about how we feel, what our anxieties are, and what we are confused about. The Psalmist wonders why God has seemingly abandoned His own people in the Babylonian exile. Have you ever felt like God has left you in the midst of an aftermath with no direction? The only way to get peace and direction from God is to ask God why?
Lord in the midst of tragedy hear my cry and allow me to mourn and pour out until I hear from You
