For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which I prefer.
Our lives are to be dedicate to the life, work, ministry and spirit of Christ. As long as we are on the earth God wants to realize fruit from our labors. We often get caught up in the arguments around grace and works. That has often led to the misnomer that work is not required. If Christ lives in us the natural result will be a fruitful life. A life that works out its soul salvation as a result. A life that bears the fruit of loving God and loving people. I often say my greatest fear is that Christ would return and catch me with my work undone.
To live in Christ means to live in fruitful labor.
Lord bless my life with fruitful labor. Lord may the work of my life make a contribution to your Kingdom and bless those who are hurting. Give me strength and wisdom to fully live in Christ. May I fully complete what you have assigned to my hands before you call me home.
This I pray in Jesus Name!
