God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them "Be fruitful and multiply.”
God's first command to be fruitful was after creation. This command comes after destruction. Sometimes our lives are shifted drastically through loss or major change. Often in order for us to grow we have to rebuild after destruction. Whether we are rebuilding our emotions, relationships, finance, or careers, fruitfulness is needed to replenish after loss. God's desire is that we never are destroyed as the result of destruction. In fact, God's intention is for us to grow healthy and be vital as a result. I often share with people how God told me I had to let go of many possessions and start over. I was not able to be fruitful until I left them behind. When I did that God told me to be fruitful.
Lord grant me fruitfulness after I have lost. Give me permission to grieve but also give me greater permission to live and to thrive. Lord I want all of you. Show me your face in the midst of my emptiness. Touch my spirit, command and equip me to be fruitful. In Jesus Name
